Questions

The practical answers,
in plain English.

How the four ways to train work, what happens if plans change, and how we handle your information. Anything that creates an obligation is set out in the Terms & Conditions.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us.

If your question is not here, ask us directly — we would rather answer it than have you guess.

Choosing how to train

How do I choose between the four ways to train?

Start from how you want to be coached rather than from the price. Remote suits people who already train somewhere and want a programme written and progressed for them. Hybrid adds one coached session here each month. Group Training is regular coached training in our facility alongside up to five other people. Personal Training is one to one.

Compare all four on the pricing page, or tell us your goals and we will help you choose.

I have never trained properly before. Is this for me?

Yes. Every programme is individual and starts from where you are rather than from where anyone else is. In the facility a coach is in the room while you train, so technique is taught rather than assumed.

Will I always train with the same coach?

We aim to provide continuity of coaching wherever reasonably possible, but we do not guarantee that every session will always be delivered by the same coach. Whoever coaches you works to the same individual programme.

Do you train juniors?

Yes, with the right arrangements in place.

  • Under 16 — a parent or guardian consents, and a responsible adult stays on the premises while the junior trains.
  • 16 and 17 — may train without a parent or guardian remaining, where that is appropriate. Parent or guardian involvement and consent remain part of joining.
  • 18 and over — standard joining.
What happens after I enquire?

Getting started runs Enquiry, then Consultation, then a Trial Package, then a Package. Ask what the trial involves during the consultation.

Training with us

Do I have to complete health screening?

Yes. Everyone completes a PAR-Q and health and exercise screening before training, so that what we ask you to do is appropriate for you.

Please keep your coach informed about relevant changes to your health, injuries, symptoms, medication or anything else that affects training safely. We treat health information as sensitive — the Privacy Notice explains how it is handled.

I have an injury or a medical condition. Can I still train?

Often, yes. We provide fitness and coaching services. We do not replace medical diagnosis or treatment, and we are not a rehabilitation service.

Where an appropriately qualified healthcare professional has given you advice or restrictions, we welcome them and design and adapt your training within them and within our own professional scope. Speak to a healthcare professional about an injury, a health condition or symptoms.

How is my programme written?

From your goals, your training history, how you move and the time you actually have. Training is organised into blocks with a purpose, progression is planned rather than improvised, and the plan is adapted as your performance and circumstances change.

What does “Human coaching. Smarter technology.” mean in practice?

Your coach remains responsible for your training. Technology helps us analyse performance, monitor progression and make better-informed programming decisions.

AI systems are not intentionally given personally identifiable client information for developing or analysing an individual programme. Individual planning and programming are completed outside those systems where personal identity is concerned. AI-assisted tools may support wider gym operations and how we develop our methods.

Can I train here without coaching?

No. This is a coaching service rather than open gym access.

Group Training

How does Group Training work?

Small Group Personal Training in our private facility, with a maximum of six clients per coaching hour, each following their own programme, and a coach present throughout.

Is £220 a month four sessions?

No. Group Training is an ongoing monthly coaching service. It is not four purchased sessions, not a session-credit package and not a bank of sessions.

We encourage members to make the most of the training opportunities available to them across the year. Additional training across the {e(L.PUBLIC_DAYS)} training week is available at your agreed training time, subject to capacity.

What happens if I go on holiday or miss training?

Personal absence, including holidays, does not create credits. Missed training opportunities do not accumulate, and do not normally carry forward or generate a refund.

If we are the reason a service you have paid for is not provided, that is different — see the Terms.

Can I freeze my membership?

There is no formal freeze. Group Training is a rolling monthly arrangement that you can end with one month’s notice.

If I cancel and come back, can I have my old time again?

Your place and preferred training time may be offered to the next available client or to someone on the waiting list, so we cannot promise the same time if you return later. We will always try to find something that works.

Payments and cancelling

How do I pay?

Invoicing and payment are handled through GoCardless by Direct Debit. Payment information is generated around the middle of the month, and you have an opportunity to check it and raise anything that looks wrong before it is collected.

You will always be told the amount due and the collection arrangements. The exact dates that apply to you are confirmed when you join.

I think my invoice is wrong. What do I do?

Tell us as soon as you notice, by phone, email or WhatsApp, and we will check it and put right anything that is wrong. Raising a query does not affect your statutory rights.

How do I cancel Remote or Hybrid Training?

Both are paid monthly in advance with no minimum term. Cancel before your next monthly payment is due and the service continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.

How do I cancel Group Training?

Group Training is a rolling monthly arrangement with one month’s notice.

What if I need to move a Personal Training session?

Give us at least 48 hours’ notice and there is no charge. With less than 48 hours’ notice the session is normally charged at the full rate, though we apply reasonable discretion for genuinely exceptional circumstances.

What if you cancel on me?

If we fail to provide a session or service you have paid for, we will put it right — by rescheduling, by crediting your account or by refunding, depending on the circumstances. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Your information and the facility

What do you do with my health information?

It is used to screen you before training and to make your programming safe and appropriate. It is treated as special category information under data protection law and is not used for marketing. The Privacy Notice sets out the detail.

Is there CCTV?

Yes. CCTV operates outside the building and inside the gym, for the security and safety of people and property. There are no cameras in toilets or changing areas. The Privacy Notice explains the purposes, who can see footage and how long it is kept.

Will you photograph or film me?

Only if you agree. Photography and video are sometimes taken for marketing, and that is a separate, optional choice you make when you join. Declining does not affect your access to training or coaching in any way, and you can change your mind about future use at any time. Being in the building is not treated as agreement.

What happens to the videos I send for form feedback?

They are used to coach you — checking technique, giving feedback and seeing how the programme is going. They are not used for marketing unless you have separately agreed to that. The Privacy Notice explains how they are handled.

Does the website track me?

No. This website sets no cookies, uses no browser storage, runs no analytics and loads nothing from anyone else. There is nothing to consent to and no banner to dismiss. See the Cookie Policy.

Practical

Where are you, and is there parking?

We are in Heaton Mersey, Manchester. There is private client parking at the facility.

Full address and how to find us.

When can I train?

Public coaching hours are {e(L.PUBLIC_DAYS)}, {e(L.PUBLIC_HOURS)}. Your training time is arranged with you — ask about availability when you enquire.

What is the facility like?

See inside the facility.

How do I raise a problem or make a complaint?

Tell us directly by phone, email or WhatsApp and we will look into it. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, say so and we will take another look. The complaints section of the Terms sets this out.
